you have to get 100 post's to use your on avitar
they did this so people will be more active here on AO.
just make sure its quality post's and and dont
spam just so you can get 100 post's its just a sugestion
though but it will be worth it if you do it the right way
Yes you need a 100 posts to get a custom avatar. Also there was a topic about this in the feedback section.
