combine 2 drives into one drive letter
I have a 1.4GB HDD (primary) and a 20GB (secondary) on a server, the POS will only boot from the primary and i've already tried switching them but the 20GB has incompatible-something for booting, but it reads fine.
I need to make the computer think that C:\ is 21.4GB so i can download and update an all.
(windows XP pro)

Grumble Grumble Grumble
Replacement Hard Disks are so cheap now a days, its really not worth the trouble trying to combine two drives into one virtual partition...
If you can't boot from the 20GB drive, it probably has a incompatible BOOT TRACK. If you have (or make) a bootable XP DOS disk, the partition command 'fdisk /mbr' will re-write the boot track, making it bootable. (You may also have to change some of the Jumper settings, making the 20GB 'Master with Slave' and the other drive 'Slave' if their sharing the same IDE cable. Otherwise, if their on different cables, you'll need to switch the cable to the larger drive to your primary IDE controller...
Re: combine 2 drives into one drive letter
i know about the hardware, i tried that first, i've tried everything i can think of, the BIOS just is incompatible with it no matter what i do, hell i can't even load linux onto it when i plug the 20GB into the master slot, that's fully RAW formatted an shiz
so srsly the only way for me to go is "virtual partition" since it's just a salvaged POS
