    files into text?

    in some blogs i've seen, some people have a list of their song collection in text format. i am wondering how did they get all that down? i know they couldnt have copied and pasted all the file names as that would take forever. is there a way? please help. thank you in advance.

    Grumble Grumble Grumble

    You can always use the old fashion DOS command line prompt. Just open up a DOS window, CD to the director you want the listing and do 'dir *.* > filename.txt' and thats that... the directory listing is now in the file filename.txt as text...
