Thread: Firewall+Anti-virus

well right now i'm using zone alarm security suit, and i think u can get a free trial of this software.

anyways is does nearly everything automatically, scan, downloading updates, etc.
all u really need to do with it is say wether or not u want some programs to be able to acesses the net.

so i hope that i've been some help, but yeah check it out, and if u had 2 u can by it i think for $70 or something, so yeah.... thats my recomendations.

p.s i don't know that much about comps, so be sure to check it out first, don't take my word for it.

I know zone alarm and personaly don't like that. And if i'm gonna buy firewall
i'll buy f-secure cos' I can get antivirus in same program, and only 50€ for year.

You should look into Avast home edition. It's free, but you'll have to register it, which only takes less then a minute. It's really great program, better then ones you have to pay for.

As for a firewall, avoid Zone Alarm. Try Sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall, it's free, however, they try to get you to pay for extra features for a few weeks, after that it's fine. No big deal, though.
