True. Particularly because there are options out there to boost FPS, but they depend on your set up. For instance, Source was developed with partially unstable Multicore support that comes deactivated by default (due to instability). You can mess around with the autoexec.cfg file and turn this option on by putting the following code in the file (at your own risk):
