If you're using a flat panel display, then it's most likely only capable of displaying 60 frames a second. Even if you increased the frame rate, the only thing that would result would be more screen artifacts from the out of sync frame drawing...

It doesn't need to be 101 it can be around 70-80 which is still perfectly fine and it shouldn't go out of sync. And if it does he can force v_sync off in his graphics card settings.

It depend the game you want to play. If you try to play GTA at 500 FPS... crash. 70 FPS is the best option (in PC emulators)

Several years ago, I was using Windows Millennium. Sometimes, some games work extremely fast (~200 FPS). Benny Hill wouldn't be enough to play them.

If you can play at "normal" speed, great.

Nice advise, Mr. Kiros. I will burn my NVidia GeForce 8500 GT a bit more... to play at 60 FPS.
