this is ao tech center, so people can and are allowed to ask for help here, they dont need to be scolded, even if it is a routine question.
(and yes it does seem to be scolding, caps hurt :P )

For anyone else., saving can also be done just by typing:

dont forget the " ." in the extension., also usuable extension types are " .png" , ".gif " , ".jpg", and so on. ".jpeg"

most common amoung sig types are
.PNG - which are usually big files, but give better quaility, some site dont allow it because they have a sig size limit of 50kbs or so. which sometimes png over goes.

.JPG - also is the common one, can vary in quality, and is more flexible in sizes.

.GIF - is the older vers. of theh png format., gifs are used for animated sigs., also they are most preferable in making avatars., GIF sizes are quite small.
