Microsoft Security Essentials
i know M$ gets a bad rap, but i've used it for over 7 months, on vista, xp, and 7 even during beta, it rules. low on CPU, never noticable, and i downloaded 5 obviously virus-ridden things from limewire and it did catch them all immediately
I used Norton Anti Virus, and using KIS,about free anti virus,i think Avira Anti Virus and Avast Free Edition are good for PC.
there are a lot of antivirus software out there. However I would say from my own standpoint, that a good antivirus needs to be very light, very complete when it comes to online protection. There are a lot of malware sites that can infect your websites with a lot of viruses and collect your data and files using spyware tools. So I guess there's quite a lot to tell. I've been using the latest version of ZenOK Free Antivirus and it's working for me
I use Malbytes. Works pretty damned well for what I need it for.
well i found a good one and it is free try it out and let me know how you like it.

The best is Norton, it removes and prevents viruses (just like most other anti virus software's). It refreshes every 15 minutes or so to check if anything occurred. I tested it out by putting a Trojan on a trash desktop of mine and it caught it and removed it within seconds. Its not free but I strongly recommend it.
I guess we can't say the best antivirus is "blah" or "blah"
the thing is every computer user should pick the antivirus that best suits his needs, I mean U might say McAfee or Norton is the best, but others would go with NOD coz with less price they can get what they need, the thing is when choosing an antivirus U should check your priorities and needs
