Re: Google Chrome Launches
I've been using it for the past 2 days its a sexy browser I give it that. Much faster than FF and its in beta ;o
Can't wait till they properly code it to read CSS correct some of it is still out of wack.
Overall 8.5/10 good browser sure beats the pants off Opera and IE.
Edit: Typo said 3 days I meant to say 2.
EDIT NEW!!! Breaking news in Chrome...
Google on Chrome EULA controversy: our bad, we'll change it
Quote:
So, there you have it: a tempest in a (chrome) teapot. Not that it's the only one; as Ina Fried of News.com points out, Chrome's "Omnibar" can also access all keystrokes a user types, and Google will store some of this information along with IP addresses.
Their terms of use

Horrible! I now hate Google.
Re: Google Chrome Launches
They already exerted quite a lot of control with the search engine. These conditions don't surprise me one bit.
I'm sticking with firefox either way. It works fine for general use and apart from some quibbles I'm quite happy with it.
Re: Google Chrome Launches
Grumble Grumble Grumble
As it turns out, 'Chrome' happens to be the browser for the 'Android' mobile phone platform that Goggle is pushing on the industry. No doubt that the 'Chrome' installation for windows also installs the expanded Google/Java interpreter that all 'Android' apps run under. Which also means that 'Android' apps should be able to run on any system that has 'Chrome' installed, which is a quick and unannounced way for Google to expand the market for 'Android' app developers...
Re: Google Chrome Launches
I read Google's little description story about how processes are isolated in tabs and got caught up in the moment. Actually, I love Firefox 3, and Chrome doesn't seem any faster. Plus, at least one website I visit a lot, written in vBulletin, loses a lot of features. Then I started thinking: if processes are isoloated into tabs, isn't that a step toward dis-integration and almost like having separate windows again? Google claims memory bloat is diminished, but I get a LOT of disk swapping while Chrome is running. My mind still isn't made up.
Re: Google Chrome Launches
Eh i hate google chrome, it's just hype "OMG GOOOOOOGLE MADE SUMMIN!" no.
It sucks, it's so slow, constantly freezing up.
Yep, it lacks features and it's not good with touch screens as you have to use scroll bars to scroll. But that's not the worse thing...It also has no home button.
Firefox for life.
Re: Google Chrome Launches
Google Chrome: another one browser. With Internet Explorer and Firefox, enough for me. I don't like Google.
Re: Google Chrome Launches
Then, use Yahoo! to search new material for you...:(... More seriously, you can use Microsoft Live. It works nice.
