how do i take screenshots in a video

i was watch ff7 advent children, i cant seem to take any screenshot, the screenshot doesnt save. and this is how i do it, i press print screen, and go to paint and paste it there.

is there some other way? i have photoshop, i rather not install that.

Get some image caption software or use VLC player, this video player will let you take screencaps that work.

nope, i tried it with vlc, it doesnt work the image moves when i try to take a ss, and when i close the video player, the image is gone.

No, you have to use VLC's own screenshot caption system.
Don't use the Prt Sc button.

Try FRAPS...It can be found from a quick google search and can also be used as a benchmark for your games and to capture footage

o vlc's snapshot? its a bit small, but i think it helps, i just want it to be a bit larger, like maybe 500x400
