I want to download anime!

I'm interested in downloading some anime. The problem is I don't know where to start, what program(s) to use, things to downloading, etc. Got any ideas?

Get a job, save some money and buy some DVDs, rent some at the local video shop, or get a Netflix subscription. I'm afraid that in 99 cases out of 100 "downloading anime" falls into the realm of piracy and illegal materials... which means you're already breaking a rule in asking about it.

About the only site that is acceptable under site rules is Animesuki, since they remove any licenced material when its licenced.

Unless you consider that all fansubbed anime is also breaking established copyright, in violation of international copyright treaty and is therefore 100% illegal...

unliscenced does not mean "free for all"

I'm not saying I'm AGAINST fansubbing (I've done some of it myself)... but if asking for links to "illegal" material is banned here: fansubs should probably be included.
