Firefox is much safer and better than IE will ever be, not to mention its faster I like the GUI of IE7 yea its not bad but why can't IE be safer or faster, if it can then I'll use it ^_^

Ah, its crap. I didn't like ie7. Just didn't like the layout. Also no, themes, no extensions(No adblocker). It also was messing with another of my program. I prefer opera or Firefox.

I wasn't talking about pop ups. I meant banner ads.

    Re: IE7 vs. Firefox

There's a huge difference between the two. Like it was mentioned before no extensions, themes, or add-ons. This leads us to believe that IE7 is as good as it gets. You have no option of customization or even enhancing the browsing experience. For example, Flashblock is a Firefox add-on that blocks all Macromedia Flash. That way you only look at what you want and increase your browsing speed. The same goes with Adblock and Noscript. Instead of loading usless ads and scripts you can just block them all out IE7 does not allow all that. I think its just a imitation of Firefox's tab system and. It may look nice but its still a piece of crap compared to Firefox.

    Re: IE7 vs. Firefox

Actually, there are plenty of extentions, add-ons, etc for IE7. The (HUGE) catch is that they are not all free. Most of them are pretty pricy for a little bit of functionality (Who would pay $29.99 for an element blocker?).

If you want to use Avant for IE7, you get all the Firefox-esque features for free for IE7/Avant. Skins, ad-blockers, extentions, etc. These are all through the use of the Avantbrowser that sits on top of the IE7 engine. That one is free.

Avant Browser, a tabbed browser with Flash Filter, Popup Blocker, Cleaner and Web Search

Ultimately, you could do all of this manually in IE7, but what's the point when FF is already out? The only advantage to IE7 are the sites that still rely on its exclusive use for higher functions (Microsoft to name one).

    Re: IE7 vs. Firefox

iv thought about going to fire fox my self but everyone i have talked to offline says if fire fox
is so great why are more people on IE7 ? i mean sure it sounds better and easer but why fix
what isnt broken? if anything the upgrade is better because it does have an add blocker
which i use all the time and the pop up is way better as well.

and 2 i have yet to see advertisemtns from fire fox only word of mouth
that means its good but it isnt in the same leauge as IE7 there just to many
good points about it to switch right now.

Well. To me I like Firefox better. Its safe faster and you get to choose your theme. Yeah it also has an adblocker
