Laptop vs. Desktop - Page 3

anyway, my laptop out-preforms my desktop any damn day... you know why? cuz the desktop is a Dell from Hell (that was all Soshi)... i'm sure a hex was put on it before it was shipped out... anyway...

the HP makes pretty good laptops, as far as i know (which isn't much) at a pretty affordable price! the media center thing is also pretty good too... and annoying when it decides to play DBZ while you're looking around on the interweb...

but i would suggest a desktop if you're in a dormitory... a laptop is still a laptop and really isn't safe anywhere... even on your lap! so, a desktop is a safer bet... maybe ask for a laptop as a graduation present?

Im with all the ppl that said desktop.
u can customize it in more ways than a laptop... and has many other advantages like graphics and sound etc etc...
the only con is the space it can use, cuz u just need a table/ur lap of the laptop
but Im desktop all the way

I'm not going to be getting graduation presents for a while . . . I am in a dormitory and find rushing back and forth to the library is getting quite tedious.

i have both desktop and labtop. but mostly labtop bc im alway moving in different place and it light to carry.

I would get a desktop because it would be harder to steal but I would buy a flashdrive so then I could put documents or whatever on there when I would have to do assignments or what not away from home.

As for the model, that's kind of a tough one for me. I have a Dell myself and I like it myself. What I like about Dell is that you can customize your computer.
