movie maker lag

so here's my tech problem- when i'm running windows movie maker, some scenes on the amv i'm making start lagging so i can't tell what im doing timing-wise... is there any way to reduce or remove the lag?

try closing some of the applications that u aren't using. that works for me most of the time either that or free up some more space on your hard disc. usually the more free space you have the faster the programs run.

movie maker is the only program running, and there is over half the hard drive free still...

how much is half of your hard drive... what's it's maximum capacity?

like 100 GB i think, it's my dads computer, so i'm not sure all the specs....
