my movie and music files are gone!

ok i was cleaning up my files and permanently deletes my music files
and video files, does anyon here know how i cna make a new file for them?
i have tried sevral times and they down load but i cant find the files
i am looking for since there going strigh from lime wire to some unknown region on my pc, i have a windows media player but i cant find the files i down loaded there . if you are confused by this i am also so i want make a new file so all my music and video's go to one place on my desk top.
can anyone tell me how to do this?

What program are you using to download? If you are using something like Limewire, you have to go into the options for it and find the file path. That is where your files are going and if you want to move it to the desktop just change it there. I'm not really sure about it cause I don't use Limewire anymore but its basically the same for all the downloading programs.

yea i am using limewire and would the file path be named lime wire?
though i am still looking for it

Unless you changed it before Limewire always saves to its own share file which is inside the program itself so most likely its in your programs file.

i cant seem to find the program files and the only thing of lime i have right now is the add and remove program. i will keep looking though for the shareing folder thouugh i am sure i willl find it thanks

To find the program file all yo have to do is go into My Computer and enter the C:/ it should be there after that look for the lime wire folder.
