    netapi32.dll crashing Windows Host Script

    Anyone is having this problem?

I dunno what´s happening, I had this problema 2 days ago, and today I just formated my PC, after 30~40 min connected, svchosts.exe is crashed by netapi32.dll . Is this a new kind of attack/vulnerability? Just after the last Microsoft Update (08/08/2006) my PC keep trying dl and ul lot of trash too.

Try downlaoding and reinstalling netapi32...a quick google search should do it.Its likley it just got corrupted during the update

    --edit--

Formats only clear your drive. Its not going to alter your WINDOWS folder as thats your OS...all you did was clear everything else

Well, actually that depends on how many partitions on the drive (if any), and how the format was executed. A format will clear everything from a partition, but some PC's have the Windows files in its own partition, keeping it safe from non-system files. You can not (easily, that is) format the drive letter/parition that the OS is on through the normal disk utilities GUI, but it can be done through the command prompt.

But I bet you are right--it sounds like paiki didn't reinstall Windows, or wipe the partition that Windows is on.
