Thread: Photoshop vs MangaStudio

but what i like about PS is especially the dodge and burn tools, as well as the freehand paintbrush. everything in illustrator is vector, so you cant just draw one thing unless you use the crappy pencil tool...

Most of my regular (not anime related) illustrator work is for printing, so I cannot use RGB for that, and its easier for me to use that color mode in all my work (anime and nonanime).

Using CMYK in photoshop disables some of the filters I use regularly, so the conversion is needed.

I wou;d suggest photoshop... though im a real noob at both drawing and coloring my friend suggest photoshop... and i have tried mangastudi at that... the color overlay and the complex commands that photoshop offers does make a lot of difference in making your work realistic or at least close to anime in quality... Well, that's my stand at least...

to be perfectly honest i havent even seen MangaStudio anywhere, i figuer you have to buy it online anyway...

i wasnt really expecting it to be great, but i was wondering if it was a sort of "best program nobody uses" or something.
