there are when i have multiple browsers open at once and when spend a certian amount of time on another page as aposed to this one something strange happens. i am automatically taken to an advertising page and cant return to this one. is this just my computer or something else?

You have adware or spyware. Also next time you have a question about your computer, place the thread in the appropriate section (tech center)
