By photo gallery, you mean your My Pictures/Pictures folder?
Are you just browsing to the picture using your OS's File manager (Windows Explorer or Finder)?
Okay, so here's the major problem:
Everytime I make something on GIMP 2, it seems not to save to my Photo Gallery, but goes only god knows where...and the only way I can even SEE the creation is if I go and upload it to the gallery, because I type in the title and whoop, there it is. I mean, even if I search for it on my computer I can't find it...it's kind of getting very annoying...
So, if anyone can PLEASE explain what the HECK is going on, I would be very grateful...

Eh, well, by 'My Pictures' I mean Windows Photo Gallery...
Well, basiclly yeah. I just click 'Browse' and I type the title of the pic in 'search photo gallery' and there it is...but, whenever I try to go to my photo gallery to see it, it's not there...at all...
Ahhh... You mean Windows Phail Gallery.
Browsing to the actual file is a lot faster, and you can set the Icon size in the folder to extra large and things will work fine.
I've yet to find a use for that program.
Windows what...?
No, but see, whenever I try to find it on my computer (searching, clicking on variouse files, ect.) I can't find it. But, when I go to upload it to, for example, AO gallery, I just type it in in the search, and there it is. Everytime I try to save it, it never appears and I can't see it or find it until I upload it somewhere...
I'm going to take a wild guess that you use Windows Vista. Your Pictures folder (Where Windows Photo Gallery saves your photos), is located in C:\Users\(Your User name)\Pictures
Your photos should be there.
then your issue is with gimp, you need to be more careful where you save your files, your pictures still exist, you just don't know where they were saved.
when you do a search for those files, change the results view to Details, and pay attention to the "Folder" column
