Can I have the name of the sound driver? It might be an issue with the driver itself.
I may have downloaded the wrong driver, because it said it was good for Windows XP which I think I have Windows XP 64 bit. I figured it was close enough.
Grumble Grumble !!!!
64-bit XP requires 64 bit drivers. This was one of the issues with both XP and Vista was the availability of drivers for backward compatibility of older hardware. This will be less of an issue with the new version of Windows coming out this fall, as 64-bit will be native for all but cheap laptops and netbooks...
Go on back and see if they have a 64-bit driver available...
That is ok because I finally figured out what was wrong, so the driver I have apparently does work, and I'm an idiot. At least I finally figured out where that extra cord goes too. ^_^ I still don't know if I downloaded the right thing, as long as it works am good.
Thanks for your help guys.
If it works then you downloaded the right driver. Thanks for the thanks even thou you solved the problem :D
Hope you don't run into anymore computer issues.
Yeah, not sure how much help we were. I was distracted by Greek. >.>
Is it my imagination or did Len just use two grumbles instead of three?
Oh you guys helped more than you will ever know...
Yeah, I was a little shocked to only see 2 grumbles. I hope he is ok. Either that he just really hates XP.
