well thats hard because what ever you try to do is eather a person with a "bug" in their program or makeing you buy something... so to do it safe it's better to go to a store and buy some sort of software...
in other words.... nope![]()
i've googled this several times and couldnt find anything worth my interest. i wanted to know if anyone knew of movie makers/editors that are good and free. i've been using windows movie maker for making my AMVs for months and it doesnt give me the opportunity to experiment as much as i would like. if anyone knows of a program like windows movie maker, specifically those good for making AMVs that would be great.

death and life are one and the same
ok i got no problem with that. do u have any recommendations?
For free? Sorry you're out of luck. I use Ulead 10, which is just dandy! I love it! You can do composite images and green screening and all sorts of stuff, it's pretty cool! You can also use more than one sound at once.
Free software usually offers you more of things you don't want (trojans, resource hog, etc). If you're going to spend a lot of time editing videos, you're better off spending a little money to get a solid performing tool. Adobe Premier is super-powerful (a lot of pros use it), but maybe a bit much for AMVs. I've used Roxio's Videowave for years, and it's easy enough to understand as well as offering some advanced methods (masking, color balance, etc.). Keep your eye on the software aisle and see what's getting marked down for the next year's upgrade. There aren't usually many changes except format exports, and those are questionably useful (cellphone, PSP, etc.).
well from my research i've narrowed it down to three choices.
PC: Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere. Both have versions for the casual editor, and it's about 300 dollars cheaper.
Mac: Final Cut, the software used at most schools, i've noticed.
all three have their ups and downs, but they seem to be the best choices you can look for.
Why hello there!
Ulead is the easiest to use, Sony vegas is by far the hardest, but the best program to use.
Oh I see what you did there.
Isn't much of a buddhist anymore... I can't help eating meat.
