Try Hunter X Hunter! It's one of my favourites! Samurai Champloo is also good, euhm what else? Noblesse (only available online), claymore and, Karate Shoukoushi Kohinata Minoru is a cool martials manga. I hope that does it!

Re: Somewhat to new to Manga
Mystery manga...I really enjoyed Ghost Hunt and No.2
Funny Manga with twist of romance in it...Kuragahime...I crack up every time with the little asides about the nerds
Another romance/comedy..is Lovely Complex and Yumeiro Taiyo (I really love this title..especially the obsessed koala guy)
Adventure:Superior , 07-Ghost, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle by Clamp..this is a long one!
Re: Somewhat to new to Manga
Thanks for all the recommendations, I've checked out the first chapter on most of these recommendations definitely got hooked on Lovely Complex. Being a bit of a collection seems this series isn't easily obtainable in English which is unfortunate Risa and Otani are such a wacky but believable couple. Tsubasa is a series I've always like to invest into as I'm aware its an alternate universe of the xxxHolic series, read the first few chapters of that and can say I'm eager to invest into that series.
Hunter x Hunter - Read the first couple chapters and it didn't spark anything, maybe I should give it more time
Gintama - Reading the first chapter only I feel this series can be promising, might read on it more sometime down the road
Mushishi & Samurai Champloo - I have seen a few episodes of the anime series and wonder how closely the anime follows the manga? I'm aware both anime series can be gotten on the cheap or watched online
As for the rest of the recommendations I haven't gotten around to yet but I'll surely read a chapter or two if I can find a scan
Re: Somewhat to new to Manga
You have a pretty neat list so far. When I first started I began with Dragon Ball. I highly recommend you read Reborn! and Rurouni Kenshin. And if you're looking for something really funny, but interesting at the same time, I would recommend you read Air Gear.
