Just use a tissue & throw it in the recycle bin when your finished, it's not that hard... really.

Well I just kinda think the whole hankie thing is in the past. This is the first time I've heard about it in about like 5 years. Oh. I always blow my nose in the washroom. It end up that way because there are mirrors that I can look into to make sure my nostril is clean after I blew it. I don't want stuff sticking out. I guess I also find it kinda nasty when people do it in public, with the noise and all. I find it disgusting when some one do it in a restaurant - sitting at the same table as me, usually my friends, or some place close to foods. I always tell them to go to the washroom for it.
I'm sorry, that is just disgusting. It's as bad as sneezing into your hand and then offering to shake. I would rather you used a handkerchief multiple times and put it in you pocket.
When I sneeze I use tissues. I do not like to sneeze on my hands or anything like that. If it ever happens I always have hand sanitizer in hand.

Yeah. Japanese people find it impolite to blow your nose around others. You gotta take yourself somewhere secluded (I.E: the bathroom) and do that. I read that in one of my Japanese books a long while back.
And about the tissues. Paper waste is very inefficient. And Japanese folk are all about efficiency.
