The Japanese adore exchanging gifts and wrapping them in exquisite ways.

I heard that it isn't uncommon for people to give out packs of tissue paper out on the street. It's also free because it contains advertisements in it.

I wish people were that thoughtful here in America. They don't hesitate to blow their noses anywhere and make a scene while doing so. It's amazing how sloppy and disgusting some people are. Most don't even bother washing their hands when their finished!

I use tissues, and I believe most of my friends use tissue too. Handkerchiefs I think are icky, gross... Yep... ^_^

This thread is making me nauseous. I only use my handkerchief for dabbing at perspiration. When I need to blow my nose, I take a tissue to the lavatory and BLOW LIKE A FOGHORN! Then again, I know people who use neither and insist upon their sleeves. (**gag**)

Using a handkerchief for perspiration is understandable, it's the ones who like to blow snot in them that are just gross.
