    Question Characters (Language)

I had been wondering about the characters that Japanese use when they write in old style paper.
What would have been like if we had done that during the past years and how would affect our lives here in the future?
    (please describe briefly)
My only thought is this if you had something to do this in our past lives it would have turned out perfect but in a different kind of way, and also i would like to include if we had surpass the skill to use this type of writing that the Japanese has been using during their ancestry it would still be possible for us to learn what they have done and most of us would take us some time to leanr this style.
The reson i made this my thought or concern is i been trying to learn all the character's that most of Japanese have learn in their writing and i am dearly mostly inteterested into learning its' great history behind it.

    Re: Characters (Language)

Could your whole post be a very roundabout way to ask this simple question?

"Where did kanji, hiragana and katakana come from?"

Kanji (Chinese characters, literally "Han characters") came from drawings.
    E.g.

Hiragana also come from Chinese characters.

(Hiragana characters are underneath the red ones)

Katakana also came from kanji, they are simplified versions of them.

(katakana characters are on the left)

Your other question seems to be how our society would look like if we used characters instead of the alphabet.
It would probably be similar to what we have now and have other kinds of characters than the Japanese/Chinese.

Lol, the early form of Kanji is so adorable. And the way it progressed is so cute!

Hiragana looks like a sloppier form of Kanji, and katakana is too simple to understand.,.
