Did you send a postcard from the top?Just spent the past 3 days at Mt. Fuji. Started climbing from 11pm, reached the summit at 5:30am for the sunrise, and back down at 11am. 12 hours of hiking! Middle of summer it was, but had to dress warm as it was 7 degrees Celsius on the top. Bloody cold! Quite a few fell sick to altitude sickness, and you could see it in their yellow faces. Oxygen was sold along the way. The higher you got, the more expense the drinks were being sold.
Really hard climb where I had to get down on all fours at times.
Max height of Mt Fuji is 3776 metres. Well worth it, but wont be doing it again.
