    Re: English?

Hmm...Well, the whole cost is almost 6 grand [5,599], including the passport, shots, air fare to and from, food for 2 wks, hotel, host family [we get to stay with a Japanese family 1/2 the time], activities [inculding traveling across Japan during the 2 wks, going to an island, visiting various places like temples & gardens & monuments, climbing mt.aso, going to tokyo, learning recipies, origami teacher & lots of other stuff I don't remember from the meeting 3 wks ago]. & I get a college credit and it's good for my record that I was a student ambassador.....& I always wanted to go to Japan!...I could have been chosen to go somewhere else, luckily it was Japan for me. ^_^
    Love,
    Jamie ^_^

Yes, just the way it's interesting to see how a foreigner speaks Japanese ~! Some ruin the pronunciation extremely. Anyways I was talking about some other kind of accent, but nevermind. But yes, if you come to our country, it is expected to speak the way we do. lol. Just for like all things, as they say, do in rome as romans do. Ehehe.

My wife is japanese and she speaks better english then I do and I was raised in england. But the last time we went to visit the inlaws, I don't remember seeing and signs in english. And I did not have to worry about the language because Yumi has tought me so much. Like when she tell me some thing in japanese and I don't understand, she tell me it in enghish so I will. The problem is she wont stop telling me, please make her stop.

You should be happy. So many people would do anything to have a good Japanese teacher. [] I am of the other type, though I am fluent and natural in Japanese, I don't like to teach the language, same goes to many other languages that I know. =P

Well it is give and take, I speak some languages she does not, like Italian, Greek, Russain and Farsie. She has German, Japanese, Korean. And we ever want to mess with people we switch between Spanich, French, And Chinese, just for giggles

    Re: English?

Heh, you're right - teaching people languages isn't my thing either.

Sometimes I get the feeling I act like a flustered Japanese schoolgirl ALL the time. When one of my classmates, Youhei (okay, I'll admit I had a crush on him the first month I was there) said, "En-chan, ja ne!" to me on the first day, I was completely um, bowled over. I had no idea what to say, so I just kinda mumbled, "Ja ne~" and ran off. Geez. I must have seemed so rude..... T_T
