I was just wondering who the Japanese equivalent of Jimmy Buffett was.
Like, in japan, who's concerts will sell out in less than three minutes?

i have no idea what the above post is agreeing to... but as for the original question, i'd say quite a lot of singers/bands would "sell out in less than three minutes" seeing as japan's population is so large. i don't know every single famous singer/band in japan, but i'd have to say ayumi hamasaki, se7en (even though he's korean, he sings japanese as well), utada hikaru, orange range... ^_^

Who is Jimmy Buffett? From the context, it seems he is a well-known musician/singer. Anyway.
I don't go to concerts much, but I have been to the Fuji rock festival, which is usually held in the summer. From the bands that have played there, I can tell that if it's Orange Range, or Asian Kung-fu Generation, people go crazy over them, so I presume there concerts sell like hotcakes. Also, most definitely of HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR, Dir en grey, Malice Mizer, and maybe of Penicillin. Haha. Imitation PoPs Uchuu Sentai NOIZ? They are good, too.

I agree with Kedar. Dir En Grey and High and mighty color, Malice Mazer. Tho not sure how fast Miyavi's last concert was sold out.

Jimmy Buffett is an extremely popular singer/songwriter/three time New York Times best selling author with an incredibly large and loyal fan base. I've heard he can sell out an above average sized concert stadium in just hours, and sweep online ticket bases in less than 5 minutes.

I love this topic, just it's question has so much style in it.
Can anyone compare to Jimmy B? Would be neat to know.
