![]() ![]() | Re: Japan, way ahead of everyone else. I don't think there are such thing as.. the smartest race on Earth.. o.O that's just down right racist.. >.< as to class each race like that... but I do think their "workaholic" culture beneficial for their country... o.o I don't think you'll find more workaholics anywhere on Earth... I wonder how working experience there is? |

![]() | Re: Japan, way ahead of everyone else. I agree. The japanese work ethic is quite good. Many stay hours after work with no overtime. I heard Germany is the same way. I wonder if it has anything to do with homogeneity. You must also remember young kids lives revolve around school there. I have seen kids coming out of schools as late as 5:00 p.m. |

![]() | Re: Japan, way ahead of everyone else. I don't think this can be said for Germany as well. Although I'm living in Austria, I still have a pretty good idea about how things are going in the neighbouring state. And I never heard that the working atmosphere in Germany was the same as in Japan. Or in Austria for that matter. ![]() Because there I agree ... the general attitude towards work is definitely different from the one in Europe or America and definitely beneficial too. However this also has its dark sides. I think Japan has one of the highest suicidal rates in the world. That sadly goes for the children as well.

![]() | Re: Japan, way ahead of everyone else. Yes it does, the culture is very competitive. And now the Japanese have invented a word that means working yourself to death. That factored with a high number of people with social disorder is going literally be the death of many. |

![]() | Re: Japan, way ahead of everyone else. I think you are confusing the Japanese with China. Japan is just a disciplined country, where as for China is an overworked country. Sweatshops and hard laborers who get a day of rest in a month are being overworked and die because of it. Most factories in Japan are run by Machines, they are basically the tech center of the world. China is a communist country which means no free thought, no creativeness, no sensitivity, just work.

![]() ![]() | Re: Japan, way ahead of everyone else. Almost everything that Japan has "created" they did not invent, in actuality they merely improved upon. They took the concept and idea and "restructured and refined" it. Cars, TV, Robotics, ect, everything from the mundane to the sophisticated was mostly invented else where, just so happen that the Japanese are very and I mean very good at reverse engineering things. This is beneficial as this means less time and money spent on development and more towards improving. And the fact that they don't have a military other then a defense force means it frees up a ton of money. which can be spent else where. Also, beast is correct.
