Thread: Japanese Food anyone?

I love Japanese food. I have spent many a day finding the great sushi places.
The noodle bowls are to die for in the places I've had them. Don't eat Japanese all the time, but if I could I would.

In Japan, whale meat has always been considered a low quality meat, usually served in institutions and schools as 'mystery' meat... Still, is this any worse then eating venison? (poor little bambi!...)

I believe they hunt the whales for other things and they are just trying to convince people to eat it so they don't waste the meat. Several months ago I read about a PR campaign the government was engaging in to convince people that whale meat was good and good for them. From the sound of things they were failing miserably. They would rather eat beef.
