    I want to go to that place ;_;... heheh, but yeah you can think of that state when you're saying "ohayou" - just don't spell it that way ^_^;;;

    When I actually took the time to look Border had a nice little section in their Language Nook for Japanese. So try you can try your local bookstore if you want to go ahead buy cds and books of that sort

    ~Ohayou Gozaimasu doesn't mean 'hello'. To say hello to someone, you should say, 'konnichiwa', which also means good afternoon.

    .Ohayou itself means good morning, but it's mainly used to greet your family and close friends, whereas ohayou gazaimasu is used to greet others, at your workplace or those in your neighbourhood, in a more respectable way.

    Same with, arigatou gozaimasu.

    There isn't really a "hello" in Japanese, just "ohayou (gozaimasu)" in the morning, "konnichiwa" in the afternoon and "konbanwa" in the evening. If you want, you can just say "yo", but only to friends you can be casual with. And unlike the American "yo", you don't drag the "o", you stop it. (it might sound a little like "yok" if you do it really fast)

    Maybe if I spell it out in hiragana you'll understand : よっ.

    Re: Japanese language learning.

    You'll have to be more specific. Are you going as an exchange student? Are you moving to Japan? Or are you just visiting for a week or so? LoL. No one gave me tips before I went to Japan, so for the first few weeks I was there I was kind of lost. New lifestyle, new people, new language, new food, new everything.

    Is there something in particular you'd like to know?
