    Re: Japanese language learning.

All gomen-somethings mean more or less the same thing. You have gomen ne, gomen nasai, gomen kudasai, gomen chaai (weird-sounding Okinawa-ben) and a whole bunch of others. There is also gomen da, which usually comes at the end of a sentence, and is probably the only gomen form that doesn't *quite* mean "sorry" as the rest do,but I'll explain that some other time.

ganbatte - "Ganbatte ne!" is more or less the Japanese equivalent of "All the best!" or "Good luck!". Literally, you're telling the person to try his/her best.

ganbarimasu - This is the future continuous form of "ganbatteiru", literally "will do my best" or "going to do my best"! For example, as a participant in a 100m dash, you might say to your friends watching, "Ganbarimasu yo!" as an indication that you intend to do your best. Likewise, if someone says to you, "Ganbatte!", you can reply, "Ganbarimasu!", and vice versa.

yume miru - "To dream". Yume means "dream", and miru means "to see", so to "see a dream" is pretty much to "dream".
