    Re: Japanese language learning.

    @ Shodokan: Hahaha, I can't think of any other grunt! The ones you'll probably hear often are "un", which means "yes"; and "uun", which means "no". There's also "ee" and "aa", which mean "yes" if you say them with a "yes" kind of intonation, but can also mean "what" if you raise them at the end (you know, like adding a question mark to them).

    @ Mitsu-O: Ugh, learning by yourself is never easy. Took me years. Thank goodness I have Japanese relatives to talk to...... though they do laugh at me a lot when I struggle with my words. +__+

    @ pink_hana: Yaru ne!! (Not bad!) It should be kimi GA daisuki (just change the "wa" to "ga"; there is a reason for this but I'll explain later). And that means to "like very much", because DAI means "big". A simple "I like you" is kimi ga suki.

    I just realized that I've said "I'll explain later" a number of times. I'll... get around to explaining everything I meant to... soon. ^^;; Someone poke me if I forget.

    Okaeri, RayMe-san

    It's spelled hisashiburi. "I'm good" is genki desu, and you can add a yo at the end if you want to sound more enthusiastic. As for "remember me?" I'd go for "watashi no koto mada oboeteru?". ("mada" means "still", in this case)

    Lets see...as blue already pointed out its spelled "hisashiburi". As for "How are you guys" just need to bring the "minna" to the front, "Minna ogenki desuka?". To say "remember me?" is "watashi wo oboete imasuka?".

    ...but thats just ONE out of the many ways to say those things so...

    Good job. ^^

    "watashi wa kokode manabi mashita." < This literally means that "I learnt something here". There are a few other ways to say this too. I'll bring it up later.

    "Kaze" can refer to the wind or also a cold (The sickness, not temperture wise.) To say "I got a cold" is "Watashi wa kaze wo hiite shimaimashita" or you could also say "Kaze wo hikimashita." . These are a couple examples as to how you can say that.

    "Surakkuto"...I, dont recall hearing this word before. (^^);

    "Aho" and "Baka" basically means "stupid", "moron", or "idiot" it kinda vaires on what context its used as...

    ...you COULD say "Tadaima" I guess. It means "I'm home" or "I'm back"!! The other way to say it is "Watashi wa kae-ete kimashita" which pretty much means "I've returned".

    "Kage" is shadow, thats correct. "Shinku" is crimson. So "Shinku no kage" = Crimson Shadow. Cool huh!? XD

    Marriage is "Kekkon". So saying "Please marry me" would be "Kekkon shitekudasai" or you could also say "Kokken shite kuremasuka?" = "Will you marry me?". Again, there's a few different ways to say these things in a different context so...

    Hope that helps.
