I hear the old Japanese life style is starting to disappear,and respect and honor don't account for much anymore and traditions are being neglected. Is this true or false.....please contribute if you have any general information.

Like what Hassun said, it happens all over the world, ways of thinking change, because of many things. Change is just the way this world works, everything is always changing - we can't sit still!
Respect and honor do not account a lot for anything anywhere now-a-days. The military still upholds those values as much as possible though. It's sad but true that living with honor and might do not necessarily get you the merit and respect you deserve.
Well I guess thats true but also like others already said its not ONLY Japan but its happening pretty much everywhere else. Besides, this is really up to personal beliefs and upbringing. Not much we can really do to make a change.
