Who has seen any live action japanese drama's? If you have, tell which one and who was your favorite character.

wow, went through my J-Dorama phase years ago. The only ones that stick out in my mind right now are Long Vacation and Hero both starring Takuya Kimura a member of SMAP! (yes, cool name right? ) I'm not a Kimutaku or anything but I did enjoy his underdog persona in Hero, except his poofy orange jacket annoyed the hell outta me. Long Vacation is just a classic and I'll leave it at that, good shite. If you really want some melodrama I suggest checking out some K-Drama, Koreans love to make themselves cry for no reason.

I've seen a few others, Gokusen, Orange Days (Road?), etc. but can't say that they made much of an impression. Then again I've become old and boring recently so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

edit: How could I forget...the GTO J-drama is excellent.

wouldn't it be better if the poster explains why he/she likes a certain series instead of having a laundry list of series and stars? just a suggestion.

and yes Takuya Kimura is my fav man-crush on Hero.

i usual watch everything about jdrama in NHK, but about searching and buyin i have a lot of them not just Jdorama also Chinese, Korean and Taiwanese drama! My Favs Jdrama are, Orange days, Gokusen 2, Nobuta wo Produce, Hatta Hitotsu no Koi, GTO, Best friend, Yuukan Club, Nana, Brother Beat, and Hanayome to Papa!
My Favs males actor are Hayami Mokomishi and Kazuya Kamenashi
Favs Femeles are Toda Erika and Fuji Misaki!

i love jdramas! i been catching it like for a few years now! although lately i haven't been following the latest drama but i love kurosagi and yamapi in it!

haha that drama name is kurosagi! there is a movie coming up soon following the drama anyway heres a short infor on it

Yamashita Tomohisa plays Kurosaki, a young man whose family was destroyed by swindlers. Despite that, Kurosaki grows up to become a con artist known as Kurosagi. As Kurosagi, he swindles other con artists and returns the money to the original victim. He works with the master swindler Katsuragi Toshio (Yamazaki Tsutomu) even though Toshio had a hand in the destruction of Kurosaki’s family.

Kurosaki's life begins to change when he meets Yoshikawa Tsurara (Horikita Maki), a young law student who disapproves of his disrespect of the law. Can she persuade Kurosaki to give up swindling and his quest for revenge?

to me i think its good it is interesting to see how he goes about cheating the other swindlers money the different ways and methods. i think its amazing and i would have never thought of it before! haha
