    Re: Japanese Music

Apparently Kokia attended some kind of summer music camp in the States twice. I don't know what people do at that camp, but I figure she must've learned a helluva lot. Some of my friends have likened her to Rurutia, but I personally think Kokia and Rurutia have very different styles, the former being more... classical and melodic, and the latter being more mysterious and experimental.

If you like Ajikan you'll probably like Art-School, UVERworld and Ellegarden, all of which (or whom?) I prefer to Ajikan, but have very... unchanging styles - that is to say, most of their songs have the same sound. It's not hard to listen to a song and go, "Eh! This is definitely Ellegarden!". The same for UVERworld and Art-School. And Ajikan, of course.

    Re: Japanese Music

I heard Japanese people have some type of music or something in their own country. I only like to watch their music videos because of the great visuals. Here take a look at what I mean.

    Re: Japanese Music

As much as I enjoy listening to J-rock, I also like J-pop. But J-rock is the best in my eyes. Especailly Malice Mizer and Gackt. Moi dix mois is awesome as well. If only I knew Japanese like the back of my hand. I'm pretty sure I'd enjoy the music more because I would know what they are saying. But it doesn't matter because they sing beautifully, with so much passion. They could be saying, "Put more sauce on my turkey leg" over and over again, and I wouldn't mind. The voices are beautiful, and it can't get any better than that.

    Re: Japanese Music

I'm not so sure about that. Sometimes they sing about things you might not want to hear, and sometimes the lyrics are just as corny and as meaningless as that of American songs. Coupled with funny English, bad lyrics totally ruin a song.

I suppose you're right, blue. But you have to admit, there are some J-rock singers out there with amazing voices. But I do agree that lyrics are what make a song, along with it's singer's voice.

Malice Mizer is amazing . . . I like Gackt, but every time I show my friends a picture of him, they say, "Oh, is that your girlfriend? What a catch!" No . . . no, it's a man . . . really . . . (Big picture.)
