Hiro, Tomo, Kei, Kuu, and the list goes on and on. Really, there are no typical Japanese nicknames as we are accustomed to in the west. Usually the Japanese would just shorten their current name. Eg: Tomoko would be Tomo. But even then, the Japanese don't really use nicknames all that much.
