Gee, I don't know. I mean, Chinese curry noodles are good, but I've always preferred ramen that's neither spicy nor sweet. Going by everyone's posts it sounds like ramen comes in only spicy OR sweet.
As much as I like ramen, I have to agree that Japanese food isn't really "spicy", maybe with the exception of Wasabi. But this is coming from a person who grew up with spicy food all her life, "spicy" Japanese food tastes more bland. I still love ramen nevertheless! Now Thai food is spicy. Bu that's a different story hehe.
The Japanese cuisine isn't a spicy one. It's one of fine flavours and beautiful serving. Pretty much the opposite of a more spicy cuisine like the Mexican one for example.
