Well it's a little weird to have sex with something like that but I don't think they're psychopaths. Perverts, yes. Psychopaths, no.
When I was a teenager I was really into hentai and I would have jumped on something like that if I knew they existed back then. But since I'm older(21) that kind of stuff doesn't interest me anymore.
Lol. Ooo you have got to be sheltered not too know of hentai :P The Japanese arn't the only ones who have created adult oriented cartoons or entertainment showcasing fictional characters as sex objects.
Ever hear of Wonderwoman? Or perhaps just movie stars..lets use them as an example. I have written this before so who ever gave me rep for it...I thank you again.
What is the difference between a fantasy involving a real life movie star in comparison to a fantasy involving a popular fictional character? Well obviously one is a real person right? Even though that is true, it doesn't dismiss the fact that the popstar is a fantasy that you will never be able to obtain. So in actuality the fantasy with the popstar is fictional.
Now most anime females are created as perfect specimens or replicas of what a perfect woman would be in real life. You tend to substitute either or in situations where you are missing sex. It is just that anime characters such as Wonderwoman will never be real, while Jessica Simpson is an actual person. The fantasy for either situation is still fictional non-the-less.
The relationship between a fan of Jessica Simpson is no different from a relationship between a fan of Wonderwoman except in terms of how deep the emotions are in comparison. Jessica Simpson is real. Wonderwoman is not and never will be, so emotions stem far deeper in the Otaku fan to compensate for the lack of reality.
I am pretty sure this post falls short in comparison to the other..soo..well I gae it my best to explain the situation.
I've heard of Hentai. I just never really got the motivation, or the intentions to watch it. I'm not a fan of pornography, but I'd rather watch that with REAL PEOPLE instead of fictional characters screwing each other. It's just rediculous to me. All of it. Sex sheets with anime girls on them, Japanese adult love dolls, hotel rooms for couples to have sex. The japanese just go overboard with sex in general, period.
Most of those items on the list, America had been the top dog in production/response/and request. Think of the Japanese and multply that by probably 100 and you get Americans. I mean you don''t see many "Porn kills" bullboards all over the highways and biways of Japan.
By the way..those hotels are used mainly by people who just want to spend some private time with each other. Sex isn't invovled as much as you think. Privacy is lacking in large populated areas, so it is difficult to really find a place where just a couple can be together by themselves.
But what makes having sex in motels here in America any different than Japan? Just because they make them specific so you don't have to go through the hassel?
We're getting off topic.
All I am saying, is that this sex sheet thing, to me, has no real value. I could be used more as decoration for crazed otakus out there. I don't think it should be called a "Sex sheet". As Shinku had stated earlier, it's really just a design. People who use them or see them can interpret them however they want.
