Thread: Japanese women sound like mice

Its just how they learned to speak their native language. I have a Japanese friend and she speaks English like a champ, because she learned English at an early age, and had plenty of English Speaking peers, and as you notice when we all speak English it varies in speed and loudness depending on the mood it is spoken in.The same occurs whenever she speaks her native language which in this case is Japanese, it varies depending on mood, Just like English, except we don't talk as quietly, because its friggin hard.

No dude. These women are speaking casually too each other. Even if you get excited about something you don't speak like a freakin mouse.

uhh dude you said it ,casually, a normal conversation. If they had gotten excited about something they'd expressed it by changing the tone of their voice. Just as i would if i had all of a sudden learned from talking to that person that i had one 1000 dollars.

Dude you would sound louder if you got excited. Not all squeaky and stuff.

It's just an accent thing. Japanese women sound like mice? Meh, girls from California sound like elementary school cheerleaders. Sounds like you have something against the Japanese language and the way it's spoken.

Its also a cultural thing. High pitched voices are considered more 'feminine' in many Asian cultures...
