    Re: Katana names

Those aren't really katana names, rather they are the names of the swordsmiths who forged them. Here are few names of swords made by Masamune for example:
    Masamune
A Masamune would then mean "a sword made by Masamune".

Here are some sword names from the National Treasures list:

You could name it "swallow cut" after the style of swordsmanship used by Sasaki Kojiro. Or perhaps Shugyosha which is what they call a wondering swords man.

I named mine "Chitsumi", after my cousins first name and I liked the word Tsumi. But you can't take that because I have it.

    Re: Katana names

Wow, amazed some can afford a katana. Took me some saving up to get just the one I have hand forged by Dynasty Forge, my one sword ran me $2.550 USD including shipping and about 6 months of wait time, it is made of traditional Japanese steel called Tamahagane. It's really an excellent shinken "real sword or live sword", I know quite a bit about Japan and much of it's culture and so on. It is pretty much a really big razor blade lol, SO SO SO beautiful as well the hada, hamon, the grain of the steel and the colors that shock through it are really other worldly and beautiful.

As for names, I have no clue lol. I just call mine Ronin, aka without a master or vagabond etc. I like the sound and I consider myself a sort of ronin, a tad mysterious and I love to be on the move and generally by myself.
