I'm surprised I didn't see a thread on the
Japanese music (if there is one and I didn't see it
please tell me. :3) Anyways~ I really love JRock
and Pop. I acutally like it more than american music.
Probally cause i cna't understand them. :3 Anyways~
Whats your favorite band/singer in Japan? My favorite
JRock singer is Miyavi and my favorite band is AnCafe.
And my favorite JPop singer is Cheico Kawabe. She sings
"Sakura Kiss" for the Ouran High School Host Club opening
song. So yea. Who are your favorites?

cool really hey 4 me i like jmusic cause likr you i cant really understand them but i love it its s good to the ears but i really dont know much of the singer but 4 me my type of singer is tamaki nami i mean wow shes really my kind of singer i like most of her songs that ive already heard and hell yeah shes cool

In the beginning... I didn't know much to what I was listening to...

But then big names such as Ayumi Hamasaki and Hikaru Utada filled the screens of many songs I listened to....

I became obsessed, I memorized words I didn't even understand, and sang them with perfect pronunciation and printed out every translation of the songs!

And sang and sang and sang!

^_^ The good ol' Jpop days...

I used to even listen to AnimeFM... Sunday mornings were the best for that...

^_^ The good ol' AnimeFM days...

TT__TT Both are gone now...
You can't find the same soothingly happy Jpop...
AnimeFM's dead...

^.^ I still listen to them... but like they say "There's no school like old school."

I never really liked Ayumi's music really. I think
that Cheico Kawabe's songs are really hyper and
stuff.

^_^ Hyper is different from "happy"...

<_< Ayumi has always sounded whiney... but these days, it's just gotten worse! XD

._. At least back then, the music, the lyrics, and the voice TRIED TOGETHER!

well, i like to listen to Utada Hikaru, Koda Kumi & Boa (i don't know if you count her songs as J-pop 'cause she sings both japanese & korean). Ofcourse i have to download the English translation everytime i download a song. I just find Japanese & Korean music much more interesting than American.

nah, i think she's just got her single " keep tryin' " released in last two or three month?
(i'm not sure though)
i like visual bands also
not forget to mention those bi-shyo-nen bands like kat-tun and newz

lol my favourite japanese songs could go on forever, but as for my favourite japanese singers, i'd have to say ayumi, utada and se7en (he's actually korean i think, but he sings japanese too).

Isn't BoA Korean as well? And Crystal Kay is half Korean too (though she doesn't sing in Korean) I've never heard anything of se7en -- any song recommendations?
