As for machine translations, Worldlingo (clicky) has been pretty good for me (base of the Google's translation service, but more options), at some point it even beat Babelfish on some texts. Have to try again, though (^_^). And I must say that machine translations really vary in quality. Sometimes they get it right with the dots and all and sometimes they turn texts into gibberish you cannot possibly understand.
