Thread: Pocky

I dislike pocky. It is dry, it is ordinary, it's a cracker. In fairness, I'm not a fan of bread based snacks in general. I don't understand the craze, bread will be bread. it can only be so good.

but bread and cracker is a healthy meal right..?plus,if its have chocolate and strawberry on top...hehe

Except that its not a Cracker, its a Biscuit, which means it has more in common with a Cookie then anything else.

Crackers are normally salty, Biscuits are sweet (like pockey).

So . . . it's biscuit stick with some sweet stuff on it . . .

Looks like one of those biscuit when I eat when I was still little where you have to dip the biscuit into the sauce, only pocky is already dipped.

In Malaysia we have the "pirated" version of it called rocky

I love pocky. The mix of the cracker or cookie if you prefer, and the sweet of the frosting and whatever else is added to it made it very satisfying for someone like me. Actually alot of what they had did that for me... although when I first got there it didn't because I believed it to be too bitter. I guess I'll have to explain o.O

I'm in the military and I was stationed in Japan for about 3 1/2 years. Unfortunately in the navy we go out alot, so one deployment I gave up sugar for 4 months straight. No candy, no sweets only whatever they made and water. I came back and tried eating a snickers bar and my tongue started to hurt badly. It was waaaay too sweet. I went out into Tokyo one day and had some Tiramisu and found it was lightly sweet enough to make me happy and from then on Japanese sweets are the thing. I live in san diego now and I always visit the Japanese are for food at least once a month for light sweets.

;_; I'll go back to Japan sometime... I didn't climb Fuji.

I am also in favor of pocky. I love the strawberry flavor more than anything else. Guess I'm just fruity that way. ^_^

I want to try the green tea pocky sometime. It sounds delicious.

I normally stay away from pumpkin flavored things, though, and I don't like the chocolate flavor much as the strawberry.
