Rōmaji is just the romanization of the Japanese language which is basically turning all those characters (Kanji) and sounds into Roman letters (A, B, C...) so people can write them down. Heh, "Rōmaji" is in itself Rōmaji. Does that make any sense?![]()
The thing is...
What`s the diffierence between hiragana and katakana?
And...i u learn japanese...do u have to know all Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji, Rōmaji?

If memory serves right, hiragana is traditional Japanese and Katakana are characters use for mmm...mainly for foriegn words or words that does not exist in traditional Japanese. Kanji is all I know are Chinese characters.
And to answer your last question, to be fluent in Japanese you will have to eventually know them all...except for maybe roomaji. But that one is kind of easy after you've got Hiragana and katakana down ^^ It will be kanji that takes the most time most likely.
Deem it`s hard....ahh...y can`t there be about 20 letters in tha japanese alphabet....ahh...omg...can`t even imagine how even harder it is with cases and othere grammar stuff![]()

It's not like you have to take it all in in a week ^.^ Take some time and practice them one at a time - hiragana ,then katakana. Rushing will do you no good unless you're competing in like the Japan Bowl or something ^^;
A lot of u guys know how to speak japanese, right? So...how/where did ya learn?
