What country or race does each sword come from. I know katana comes from japan. and longsword and lancet comes from europe. What about broadsword... and which sword is the best?

Ok,
1) Europe is not a country nor is it a race.

2) There is no best kind of sword and NOBODY here knows what the best sword is so I don't want to hear anything about that.

All im asking is where the broadsword originated and which sword do you think will win in a fight if the users had the same skills, the same talent, devotion, motivation.

broadswords orriginated in holland, they were called claymores.

in a battle too many factors play a part to make determining tohe winner at all possible. for the first time in my life i agree with hassun

that is a fav.

but in my oppinion a katana is the best simply because the japanese weaponsmiths really knew what they were doin. the katanas could slice through europian rmor like swish cheese, the only protection was the layers of leather that samurias wore.

i think the katana thats my fav sword and its farily light and very sharp.

Did you know that samuries only wore armor when they went to battle or war... every other time they were in clothes like samurai champloo. thats when there at top speed.

exactly, because no armor could really stop those katana, the folded metal was simply too sharp and durable

There's a first time for many things fayt lingod.

Broadsword comes from "broad sword" (duh) and therefore it isn't a real sword type.
Claymore is a Scottish sword.
