I've heard the one where they make a spark over someone's back when they leave the house. Actually I've seen that in an episode of samurai champloo when mugen went to fight that Chinese monk and fuu made a spark over his back when he left to fight him.

    How about this ..
If the first person you meet on any given day is a woman, you will have good luck. If it is a Buddhist priest, be prepared for a bad day. A good omen is getting a bird dropping on your head. If you are overtaken by a funeral procession on the street, you will have bad luck.

I've heard if you sneeze for no reason, it means somebodies talking about you. In the Western world, it's hot ears. Hope no too many people talk about me. I almost blow houses down when I sneeze...

I had 1 in my head, but it's gone now. I'll post it if I remember.

I'm curious about what other will turn up...

Wish I could get on here more often. *Sigh* The down side to night shift...

I'm not sure if I have it right, but a believe one Japanese superstition (a really old one) is that if you carve your name into a cucumber and let it flow down a river, it will protect you from the kappa(a sort of demon that looks like a duck).
