Isn't there an scientific explaination of it? Like too much blood is rushed into your brain after seeing such a thing and the excess blood comes out from the nose? Of course its an exaggeration.

It means that you are stupid, retarded or slow. About the nose bleed, i think is to make the show more interesting.

The more you post, the more icons you get. After you've made a certain number of posts (say, 500?) you might have many little icons that suddenly turn into one icon, a bigger one. Basically it represents your post count.

Closing one eyelid and sticking your tongue out isn't necessarily an insult - it can also be a way of simply teasing someone.

It depends in how you interpret it, you may think someone is teasing you or the person is calling you stupid.

If a little kid does it, I believe it can interpreted as a way of defiance - like if a kid's older sister tells him he has to take a bath before watching his favorite show, as she turns away he may stick out his tongue and pull down his eyelid, as if saying "Nya nya!" or "Poo on you!" Similar to the way kids just stick out their tongue in the west.

And yeah, the nosebleeds are an exaggeration on an Old Wives' tale - just like when a person sneezes right after someone is talking about them.
