    making that face means just what it does when you make a face at someone in america

    it could be playful, or it could be meant as an insult. its just a childish gesture, i wouldnt read too much into it

    I wondered what the nosebleeds where about. I thought since the guy got so excited his nose bleed or something to that extent.

    Actually, your guess is correct... It's a common 'old wives tale' in Japan (which isn't true) that sexual arousal with it's associated elevated blood pressure causes nose bleeds.

    There are other 'myths' and symbolisms that are common in Anime that do not exist in western cultures... The 'snot drop' is used when in the west, a thought bubble filled with 'ZZZZZZZ' would be used to indicate sleeping. Another common event is the myth that when you sneeze, it means someone is talking about you...
