Are you more obsessed w/ Japanese culture than your own?

i have to hear this from my older sister all the time, and frankly it gets quite annoying. "you're more obsessed with Asian culture than your own". Most of the time i ignore it, but it still gets to me on occasion. I am African American myself, but just because i love anime and many aspects of Asian culture in general, does not mean i am ignorant of my own heritage. Have you been in the same situation before? Have people told you how "obsessed" you are?

use to be, but not so much anymore.

after realizing we're all the same, and that people across the pond are about as terrible as the ones ya live with, the glamor goes away. and plus, i read a lot of Tales of Genji (like the most popular book in Japan that depicts their early ways of life like in the court and stuff), and didn't get that into it...

but their cute toys and books and stuff roxx my soxx!

you're right about that, we are more open to any sexual encounter,
besides the men in Japan are way too pervert to find a good woman, no wonder the tend to like anime girls more than real ones.....

awwwwwwwwwww. I love this country......

Re: Are you more obsessed w/ Japanese culture than your own?

Um, for me its kinda weird because although I am Japanese and etc I was born and raised in a different country all my life. And yet I am obsessed with Asian culture over all, and neither do I feel like I am officially Japanese mostly because I've been raised in foreign countries all this time.

Actually I think its the other way around at least in Japan. >____>; Japanese men and Asian men overall tend to be really sexist and think that women are inferior...

Though in Korea I hear its a different story XD they tell me Korean women and girls are scary and hit the boys back XD...
